ABOUT FRAZER HOOD


Frazer was born, educated and trained in Ayr in Scotland before moving down to the England in 2001.

Frazer did his farrier apprenticeship for Robin May working with all types of horses and ponies from miniature shetlands to Shire horses from £500 "Happy Hacker" warmbloods for £1 million racehorses.

In 2007 Frazer moved to Newmarket in Suffolk to expand his expertise working with racehorses. Here he worked with his friend, Danny Plamas and Gavin Moody and gained valuable experience working in some of horseracings top training yards including those of Luca Cumani, William Haggas, Clive Brittain, and Marco Botti.

Frazer has also carried out work at many studs looking after the feet of their youngstock, broodmares and stallions.

He has built up a lot of experience working at some of the countries top studs including time in the quarantine yard at The National Stud, Brookside Stud, Hopehall Stud and Longholes Stud.

In 2009 Frazer also worked at The Tattersalls Sales also in Newmarket.

Frazer has experience working with dressage horses, showjumpers and eventers including some top national champions.

Frazer has always been passionate for his love of horses and this shows in the way he handles them. He has an amazing amounts of patience with the horses and his being a naturally softly spoken individual - he seems to have a natural abililty of being able to calm even the most spirited of horses.

In the last few tears Frazer has taken a keen interest in the remedial shoeing of horses. This includes the treating of horses with laminitis, the utlisation of bar shoes including extensions, glue on shoeing. Always keen for horses to be pain free Frazer is able to advise owners and trainers of the options available with horses with feet problems.

Frazer and his partner, Keeley Sinclair a very talented horsewoman herself keep and breed their own horses. Frazer is the very proud owner of two broodmares and hopes to be able to breed stars of the future.

Frazer and Keeley are keen to start a stud of their own and breed dressage stars of the future.
